“I wish I have invented blue jeans. They have expression , modesty, sex appeal and simplicity – all I hope for in my clothes”
-Yves Saint Laurent
It’s getting chillier, the leaves are starting to change colors and pumpkin spice has invaded almost every food group… YEP! Fall is definitely taking it’s thrown! I couldn’t be happier about it! It’s a new start to almost everything, including my wardrobe. Layering is back. Bowties, college sweatshirts, topcoats, denim on denim and boots are officially cool to rock with having to think “is it too hot outside for this”. Style takes a turn for the best in opinion!
So far this A/W16 has been great as far as style. I finally got my light gray suit that I wanted. Attended Charlotte Seen’s Fashion Week, which was stellar with my partner in crime Cam K @ thecamkway.com ! And I’ve gotten to see a wedding in the rain, in the mountains. Gorgeous events were happening all around me. I especially liked the Sporting Gent’s 3rd Anniversary Gathering! I got to link up with my good friend Brad from the Ole Mason Jar. Taste test some whiskey that’ll put hair on your chest with Cameron of Republic National Distributing Company. To top it all off, they had my FAVE! Pulled, smoked BBQ! Ugh. Nothing else says love to a southern man like BBQ does.
Take a look at how some of my A/W ’16 style and events have been going.
theUrbnlook: Denim on Denim this season is a must. I know. It might be a tad bit southern but it looks great universally.
Porkpie Fedora: Buffalo Exchange, $14
Ray-Ban Aviators: Took Them from my Boss
Bandana: Urban Outfitters, $6
Levi’s Denim Shirt: Plato’s Closet, $13
theUrbnlook: The Sporting Gent’s 3rd Anniversary Gathering was fantastic! The clothing was made for the stylish gentlemen that love hunting and a good uptown mixer. The brands and quality of clothing are superb with higher price points of course. Still worth every penny you’ll spend.
Tasting some great Whiskey with Cameron, a Brown-Forman Whiskey Ambassador. The delicious concoction of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey, Lemonade, Unsweet Tea and Basil will make you desire more than just a sample. Try it with peanuts, chocolate, oranges and different meats and cheeses to bring out bold flavors of the whiskey.
theUrbnlook: My Boss’ spectacular wedding.

My Boss, Aaron and his gorgeous wife Elly tied the knot in the RAIN!!! If that’s not magically, I don’t know what is! It was the most beautiful sight I’ve ever seen! And yes, I styled my boss for his wedding! Let me know what you think of the blue suit!
CONGRATULATIONS TO MR. & MRS. AARON KINNE!
The fall is off to a marvelous start and I can’t wait to show you what else I have up my sleeve! Stay tuned cause it’s going to be something to see!
