“Most people don’t grow up. Most people age. They find parking spaces, honor their credit cards, get married, have children, and call that maturity. What that is, is aging.”
– Maya Angelo
Maya couldn’t be more correct! That is aging. Living life to the fullest is growing up. Realizing what you want to do in life and going after that is growing up. Now, that I’m 26 & A mess, I think it’s high time that I go after what I want and it seems that I’m going in the right direction. In the past two weeks, I’ve had the pleasure of obtaining an internship with a magazine, learn a little more about becoming a stylist and been blessed to see 26! Even though I’m not exactly where I want to be; I know that I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be!
I’m not sure If I would call this a life, style or fashion blog post but I know that they all tie into each other in my life and I love sharing it with you. The details of the past two weeks are a tad bit long so I’m going to shorten it for you trendsetters through a gallery of my pictures. Can ya dig it?
Take a look at how I’m starting to grow up or something like that.
the Urbnlook: My Birthday, July 12th, was a grand day! I spent the entire day in Savannah, GA with my lovely Boyfriend, Nicholas. It was hot but we had a great time at SCAD, downtown, and the beach! Plus I had a photoshoot for my born day with my bestie Camille! Follow her blog THECAMKWAY
the Urbnlook: I got the opportunity to style my 1st set of clients! *does Drake Hotline Bling dance* YAY ME! My good friend Josh needed some new threads and my boss Aaron is getting married! They both came to the right man for the job. Also, I meet one of my Instagram friends finally named James. His fly and stylish ways are nothing less than superb.
the Urbnlook: Big thank you to Ties.com for the birthday care package they sent me! It’s awesome to know you all care! Thanks to Amelie’s for the amazing macaroons; delicious as always.
Maya said that having good credit is just another sign of aging and not growing up. That makes me feel a lot better about being 26 & A mess. We all have plenty of learning and growing to do and I look forward to reaching my level. Thanks for reading and supporting trendsetters.
Be Great. Be Stylish. Be Urbnwood.
