Your Boyfriend’s Very Valentine’s Blog

“Sweetest thing I’ve ever known. Is like a kiss on a collar bone”

-Lauryn Hill

Cards, flowers, giant stuffed teddy bears and chocolates everywhere! It’s in the air and it smells like love! The overly commercialized holiday of love, Valentine’s Day is almost here ladies and gentlemen and we all want that one special thing! No, I’m not talking about a huge box of Ferrero Rocher. I’m talking about your date looking just as good as you!

This post is dedicated to that woman who’s boyfriend thinks wearing a sweater vest and short sleeves shirt is fashionable. This post is dedicated to that guy who’s boyfriend wants to hold hands on the way to dinner while wearing a pair of suspenders and belt in the same outfit. Blah! Well, no more! This is Your Boyfriend’s Very Valentine’s Blog and I’ve got some dapper solutions to your unstylish dates this year.

Here are some looks and tips to help out your significant other with their outfit choices this Valentine’s Day!

the Urbnlook: Suit It UP!

Suits are not just for the office! They’re also great date night attire. Add a knitted tie for character and texture. Keep it clean with a simple pocket square, but spice it up with some amazing socks! Mix some accessories in look for flavor. Last, make sure your footwear compliments your suit. The two should be a heart throbbing combination.

Navy H&M Slim Fitted Suit: H&M, $150

H&M White Button Up: H&M, $16

Navy Knitted Tie: 21 Men, $3

White Pocket Square: Target, $1

Aldo Brown Strap Watch: Aldo, $35

Black & White Stripped Stance Socks: T.J. Maxx, $3.50

Cole Haan Lenox British Tan Cap Toe: Cole Haan Outlet, $99

the Urbnlook: A Biker’s Gentlemen

Being creative when it comes to constructing a look for Valentine’s Day is easier than it seems. The Biker Jacket craze is a great way to start. A crispy white button up is a go-to combination for your jacket. Button the collar for the Air Tie look. To add even more creativity, try adding buttons to your biker jacket and funky socks! Now you’re starting a look the part! Top off the look with slim stone joggers and black Chelsea boots!

Black Modern Amusement Biker Jacket: Buffalo Exchange, $35

H&M White Button Up: H&M, $16
